Broughton Hall - Yorkshire - 10.29 miles

Burnley Football Club - 11.75 miles
Half the ground was rebuilt in the mid 1990's, much improving the overall look of Turf Moor. The two new stands, The Jimmy McIlroy & James Hargreaves stands are particularly impressive, at one end and one side of the ground. Both are large two tiered stands, complete with a row of executive boxes. Both were built on two large former terraces, one of which was uncovered. The other two older stands are smaller, single tiered, and as usual when surrounded with new stands, look worse than they actually are.

Burnley Golf Club - Burnley - 12.9 miles
Burnley Golf Club probably ranks amongst the top five favourite courses of most golfers connected to the East Lancashire Golf Association. Fair but challenging, the Glen View course stands on the fringe of the Habergham Eaves moors which overlook Burnley from the road towards Rawtenstall. It is a course which makes excellent use of the rolling countryside and offers a true test to golfers of every standard. There are four par threes and one par five for a total of 69, but when the wind blows several of the par four holes play more like par fives!
